To foucus on the sevier condition of the World due to COVID-19 Pandemic a virtual G-20 Summit has taken place on March 26th 2020. 

Where leaders of G-20 contries as well as other affected Country's like Singapore, Switzerland, Spain, Jordan discussed what measures should be taken to control COVID-19 and revive the Economy through video-conferencing. This Extraordinary Virtual G-20 leader's summit has been convened to discuss the challenges posed by the outbreak of the COVID-19 Pandemic and to forge a global coordinated response.

What is G-20 Summits?

G-20 Summits started in 1999 with the aim to discuss policy pertaining to the promotion of international financial stability. It takes place every year.

• G-20 leader's also pledged to work with bodies such as the International Monetary Fund to deploy a robust financial package to support the developing nation's which do not have access to Capital market's or adequate health facilities.

• About $100 Million of donations have been made to the WHO led COVID-19 SOLIDARITY RESPONSE FUND, these G-20 Country's are also planning to increase there contribution for this fund.

India's Outlook

PM Modi noted that 90% of the COVID-19 cases and 88% of death's occur in G-20 country's, they also share 88% of World GDP and 60% of world population.

He called on the G-20 to comeout with a concrete action plan to fight the global pandemic.
